Job Description:
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down experience as a registered nurse, including experience in caring for complex populations with trach-vents, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. CPAP, BiPAP), solid organ transplants (e.g. kidney, liver) - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licenses/Certifications: - Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider CPR certification - Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
