>dies. They will additionally participate in weekly laboratory meetings, grand rounds, monthly Kodach

>xternal Disease clinics at UCSF. A major component of this fellowship will be participation in inter 
>national collaborative research with investigators in India. They will contribute to studies of fung 
>al keratitis, including ongoing work related to the FANCY clinical trial and collection of prelimina 
>ry data and planning activities for future adaptive platform trials in infectious keratitis. Through 
> these projects they will gain firsthand exposure to the conduct of clinical research in diverse hea 
>lthcare settings and develop an appreciation for global health challenges and international research 
> collaboration. Additional to this, they will also participate in studies investigating decentralize 
>d approaches to dry eye disease research, including methods for remote patient assessment and biolog 
>ic sample collection. These projects seek to expand access to clinical research and facilitate innov 
>ative approaches to studying ocular surface disease. CUSTOM SCOPE: Under general supervision, provid 
>es analytical support for clinical and translational research programs focused on corneal and ocular 
> surface disease. Participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of research studies and 
> assists with data management, literature review, scientific reporting, and manuscript preparation.  
>Collaborates with faculty and domestic and international investigators to support multicenter clinic 
>al studies and patient-centered outcomes research. Applies professional concepts to gather and synth 
>esize information, analyze problems of limited scope, and develop sound recommendations in support o

5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, public health, psychology, neur4 
>oscience, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience - Basic analytical 
> and quantitative skills - Experience using Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn resea 
>rch databases and software - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to organize, p
