> in UCSF’s Cardiology Clinics, the Clinical Nurse 2 is responsible for providing safe, efficient nur 
>sing care to patients in the UCSF Stanyan outpatient Multispecialty practice. Triage patients and re 
>sponds appropriately according to protocol and nursing assessment. The Clinical Nurse 2 utilizes the 
> nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation) to provide safe and therapeut 
>ic clinical care. The Clinical Nurse 2 also provides clinical support to Providers and participates  
>as part of the health care team to assure coordination and continuity of patient care. Performs nurs 
>ing activities as ordered by the physician, including electrocardiograms, and intravenous insertion  
>administration of cardiac ultrasound enhancing contrast. The Clinical Nurse 2 is responsible for tri 
>age on behalf of the practice both in person/video and through telephone and electronic communicatio 
>n such as in-basket messaging and any other electronic communication portal. The Clinical Nurse 2 pa 
>rticipates in the development and implementation of educational programs and materials for patients  
>and their family members. The Clinical Nurse 2 will play a critical role in the patient experience i 
>ncluding optimizing clinic flow, providing in and outreach to patients and working collaboratively w 
>ith the team to create a patient centered environment. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for daily c 
>linical operations and maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff. The Clinical Nurse 2 c 
>onsistently projects a professional and courteous demeanor, helps establish and maintain the highest 
> service standards for the practice and complies with the Medical Center House and Telephone Standar 
>ds. This employee will utilize computer skills in Apex and other UCSF computerized programs. This in 
>dividual supports the standards of the policies and procedures of the practice and is responsible fo 
>r maintaining current knowledge of pharmacology and competency in modes of administration and compli 
>es with all Ambulatory Services and Medical Center policies and procedures for infection control, sa

t4Qualifications:t3The Clinical Nurse 2 also provides clinical support to Providers and participates as part of the hea

5Required Qualifications: - Minimum of one (1) year recent experience as a Registered Nurse in Ambula4 
>tory Cardiology and/or related RN experience in an Ambulatory Clinic; including telephone triage and 
> in-basket messaging with patients. - Minimum of one (1) year recent experience of cardiac telemetry 
>, pacemaker and cardiac device nursing care or equivalent. - This position requires flexibility to o 
>rient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. Preferred Qualifications: - Strongly preferred  
>minimum of one year experience in Cardiology. - Recent Experience in the use of Electronic Medical R 
>ecord documentation. - Adult, and Geriatrics preferred. - Ability to work competently and efficientl 
>y with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel & Work Licenses/Certifications: - Registered Nurse as define 
>d by California Board of Registered Nursing - Current CA Nursing license - Current American Heart As 
>sociation CPR Certification.
