> Nursery (ICN), founded in 1964, is a regional tertiary center and has the proud distinction of bein 
>g one of the first neonatal intensive care units in the world. In addition to caring for extremely p 
>remature infants, the ICN also cares for infants with congenital anomalies in need of evaluation and 
> surgical interventions. The ICN opened the first Neuro Intensive care unit for newborns in 2008. To 
>day, the ICN continues to enjoy a reputation for being at the forefront of innovation in the fields  
>of neonatology and fetal treatment. Neonatologists, neurologists, radiologists and nurses work to im 
>prove neuro developmental outcomes in very premature infants and full-term babies who are at high ri 
>sk of neurological injury or have clinical evidence of encephalopathy, seizures or stroke. The ICN p 
>rovides state of the art care for infants with neurological, gastrointestinal, renal and skeletal, c 
>ardiac and respiratory diseases. We are one of a few centers in Northern California that provides EC 
>MO and are recognized as an ECMO Center of Excellence. Staff nurses are the backbone of the ICN. The

t4Qualifications:t3 Department Description: 
5Required Qualifications: - Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical RN experience in a level III Int4 
>ensive Care Nursery with a surgical patient population - Proficiency in providing care for the extre 
>me low birth weight infants and neonates with congenital anomalies such as Pre-Operative Congenital  
>Heart Disease - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center loc 
>ations. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure/Certifications: - 
> Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California. - Current healthcare provider C 
>PR certification - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Current Neonatal Resuscitation P 
>rogram (NRP) certification
