>l Research Supervisor, the incumbent will perform entry-level duties related to the support and coor 
>dination of clinical research and outreach activities and may receive training and development to pr 
>epare and advance for journey-level work at the next level within the series. Duties will include, b 
>ut will not be limited to the following: Assistance with coordination and in-person participation in 
> on-site and off-site CCC clinical research andoutreach activities. Telephone survey administration  
>Database management and data entry while maintaining data quality Review of medical charts and elect 
>ronic records to extract medical information and other data for use in studies Help with the recruit 
>ment, enrollment, registration, scheduling, and retention of study participants Assistance to resear 
>ch personnel to keep patients on study schedules Administrative support for research study activity  
>(including working with the UCSF Committee for Human Research and other regulatory agencies) Perform 
>ance of other duties as assigned

5Required Qualifications: - HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to succes4 
>sfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities; and/or equivalent experience/training. - Co 
>mputer experience: Microsoft applications, FileMaker pro, REDCap, video and photo editing software - 
> Demonstrate attention to detail, complete projects on time, prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadl 
>ines, collaborate effectively with team members, adapt to changing priorities, and communicate clear 
>ly Preferred Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience working with children ages 0-18 years in a cl 
>assroom or clinical setting - At least 1 year of experience working with deaf/hard-of-hearing childr 
>en and their families - Proficiency in a second language (Spanish or Cantonese) - Fluency in the usa 
>ge of Committee of Human Research (CHR) online iMEDris system for submission, renewal, and modificat 
>ion of protocols through this system. - Understanding the patient population to create rapport and a 
> relationship while also giving insight into what is realistic and appropriate for patient participa 
>tion. - Experience with electronic medical records. - Experience with REDCap database structure, mai 
>ntenance, management and/or creation - Knowledge of UCSF and departmental policies for dealing with  
>reimbursement, guidelines for research, confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, following the UCSF mi 
>ssion statement and purpose for research, and a clear understanding of policies and procedures on pa 
>tient safety and confidentiality (electronic and hard copy medical records, patient charts, communic 
>ation, etc.); knowledge of medical terminology, research policies and guidelines, guidelines for pac 
>king/shipping infectious substances, database building/analysis, and data management within some of  
>the following: Access, Stata, SASS/ SPSS, and Teleform programming platforms. - Knowledge of medical 
> terminology, research policies and guidelines - Prior experience as a teacher of children with spec 
>ial needs - Experience applying the following regulations and guidelines: Good Clinical Practice Gui 
>delines Health Information and Accountability Act (HIPAA) The Protection of Human Research Subjects  
>CHR regulations for recruitment and consent of research subjects Effective Cash Handling Procedures
