>t care administered by other members of the nursing team. The Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabi 
>litation (PM&R) Nurse Navigator and Peds Ortho serves in a resource role and delivers direct patient 
> care to Pediatric PM&R and Peds Ortho population.  This clinician is experienced and highly skilled 
> with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of related conditions and diagnoses, the major treatme 
>nt modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education for PM & R and ortho in th 
>e pediatric population. At this operational level, the nurse proactively embraces the Orthopaedic So 
>ciety/Standards of Orthopaedic Nursing practice to utilize the nursing process for assessment, plann 
>ing, implementation and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.  The nurse utilizes an interdi 
>sciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set 
> forth by regulatory requirements. The nurse is recognized and utilized as a clinical resource and d 
>emonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit/clinic and the organization. The  
>nurse is responsible for bringing together the multidisciplinary efforts of the Attendings, Advanced 
> Health Practitioners, Clinic Staff, Residents, Fellows, IP Nursing Staff, PT/OT, Case Management, P 
>harmacy, Practice Coordinators, Analysts, and all other ancillary and support departments to ensure  
>a high quality, coordinated, and satisfying experience for the patient. The Nurse Navigator will be  
>involved with the department and Health System quality metrics.

t4Qualifications:t3 The Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Nurse Navigator and Peds Ortho serves in

 >onditions and diagnoses, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and pa
 >tient education for PM & R and ortho in the pediatric population. 
5Required Qualifications: - A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience - One year of recen4 
>t Pediatric Med/Surg experience - Two (or more) years of recent RN clinical Physical Medicine & Reha 
>bilitation experience - Bachelor's degree in Nursing - If associating with an SCC, have a minimum of 
> one-year pediatric clinical experience providing nursing care for patients with the disease(s) or r 
>elated condition(s) specific to that SCC. - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at 
> all UCSF Medical Center locations Preferred Qualifications: - Recent Case Management experience - P 
>ALS certification - Spina Bifida, orthopaedic, or neuromuscular experience Required License/Certific 
>ations: - Active AHA BLS Certification - Registered Nurse in the State of California
