5Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related area and three or more years of relevant exp
>erience and / or equivalent experience / training - Thorough understanding of research administratio 
>n guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities, pre 
>ferably in a university environment - Ability to manage significant volume of transactions - Ability 
> to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting - Demonstrated competence in the use 
> of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports 
> including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modeling) - Ability to m 
>aintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service f 
>ocus across broad and diverse subject areas - Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations  
>in all areas of research administration - Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, f 
>iscal and reporting principles - Demonstrated knowledge of effective grant funding processes, proced 
>ures and techniques - Strong writing skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a va 
>riety of audiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsorÆs guidelines Preferred Qualifications 
>: - 6+ years of financial work experience - BA in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Admin 
>istration - MBA - Thorough knowledge of applicable compliance requirements related to use of human o 
>r animal subjects in research, financial conflict of interest, biosafety, etc. - Experience with UCS 
>F Financial Systems (UC Path, MyExpense, MyReports, BearBuy) - Experience with local government spon 
>sors (i.e. SFDPH, City/County of San Francisco)
