>Care Nursery (ICN) at BCH San Francisco was founded in 1964 and pioneered fetal surgery and is a 58- 
>bed unit that provides care for critically ill newborns and infants. The Newborn ICU (NICU) at BCH O 
>akland is a 43-bed department. Both the ICN and the NICU have the expertise to treat the smallest, s 
>ickest and most fragile babies needing surgery for heart, lung, gastrointestinal and other life-thre 
>atening conditions. Our neonatal heart program is one of the largest in the country, treating almost 
> 200 newborns with heart disease each year. Both units are Regional Intensive Care Nurseries and wor 
>k with an extensive network of hospitals in Northern California to provide neonatology care. The Nur

5Required Qualifications: - Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse4 
> Practitioner Program with a masters or doctoral degree aligned with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner s 
>pecialization - Minimum of one (1) year of recent working experience in a Level III or IV Neonatal I 
>ntensive Care Unit as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred Qualifications: - More than two (2) years of ex 
>perience working as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in a Level III or Level IV Neonatal ICU - Lactatio 
>n education experience or IBCLC certification Licenses/Certifications: 1. California Registered Nurs 
>e (RN) License without restriction 2. California Nurse Practitioner (NP) License without restriction 
> 3. California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number 4. NP national board certification from an accep 
>ted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role Neonatal (NNP-BC). See A 
>ddendum A below for more detail. 5. California Driver License (if required for position) 6. Drug Enf 
>orcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a Cal
