5Required Qualifications: - Graduation from a PA Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commi4 
>ssion on Education for the PA (ARC-PA). - Physician Assistant Per Diem: - Minimum of three (3 years) 
> of inpatient clinical experience as a PA in Pediatric Surgery. Preferred Qualifications: - Five (5) 
> years of inpatient Pediatric Surgery Experience including Trauma Licenses/Certifications: - Califor 
>nia Physician Assistant (PA) License without restriction - National Board Certification from the Nat 
>ional Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) - California Driver License (if re 
>quired for position) - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3 
>N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support 
> (BLS) certification - Additional required AHA certifications: PALS - Additional required certificat 
>ions (such as ENLS): Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire or 
> as soon as feasibly available. UCSF Medical Center requires all Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)  
>to be credentialed through its Office of Medical Affairs and Governance (OMAG) to practice and funct 
>ion in their clinical role. This applies to both adult and pediatric APPs in the inpatient and outpa 
>tient clinical settings. Credentialing takes between 60-90 days and must be completed prior to the f 
>irst working day.
