>ine Practice. General responsibilities include managing patient flow in the practice, obtaining vita 
>l signs, reviewing health maintenance status, maintaining and stocking exam rooms, and assisting in  
>emergencies. The Hospital Assistant III also supports general administrative functions at reception  
>including scheduling, referral management and other duties as required and demonstrates excellent cu 
>stomer service skills with patients and staff. The Hospital Assistant must be able to competently wo 
>rk in an advanced Electronic Health Record environment. The Hospital Assistant is required to comply

5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - One to two years’ experience as a Medical Assistant in a high-volume clini4 
>cal practice - Active American Heart Association CPR certification - Certification from an approved  
>Medical Assistant program - Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding skills - Ability to  
>prioritize and work efficiently with multiple forms of patient & provider communication - Excellent  
>organizational and problem-solving skills - Excellent verbal skills - Excellent interpersonal skills 
> - Strong writing skills to include the ability to compose basic office communications - Ability to  
>deal sensitively and effectively with patients - Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently  
>with team physicians and referring physicians - Demonstrated attendance record - Professional appear 
>ance and demeanor - The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations PREFERRE 
>D QUALIFICATION - CPT Phlebotomy License - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent college education - Knowl 
>edge of medical insurance - Familiar with medical terminology - Familiar with health care policies s 
>uch as HIPAA or Joint Commission requirements - Familiar with outpatient clinic workflow - Experienc 
>e of Epic health records system REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - American Heart Association BLS –  
>CPR Certified - Medical Assistant Certification
