| 5 | Required Qualifications: - Two (2) years of experience installing, programming, maintaining, and/or | ||||
| > | troubleshooting complex addressable, networked commercial or institutional fire alarm systems, such | ||||
| > | as Edwards EST3/EST4 or equivalent systems. - Demonstrated theoretical and working knowledge of elec | ||||
| > | tricity, electronics, and electronic and computerized fire alarm system design and operation. - Demo | ||||
| > | nstrated ability to troubleshoot fire alarm system failures. - Demonstrated knowledge or ability to | ||||
| > | obtain manufacturers certification on the following systems: Edwards Systems Technology panels and n | ||||
| > | etworked fire alarm systems. - Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and fire system s | ||||
| > | chematics. - Working knowledge of applicable building and safety codes. - Ability to communicate cle | ||||
| > | arly, both orally and in writing, with contractors, consultants, customers, and staff. - Background | ||||
| > | check required. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with fire alarm systems in university, health | ||||
| > | care, or similarly complex institutional environments. - Edwards/EST manufacturer certification or t | ||||
| > | raining. - Understanding of EST Fireworks stations networking with fiber optics. - Experience with E | ||||
