5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical 4 
>Center locations. - Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program; or equivalent combinat 
>ion of training and experience. - One year of experience as a Medical Assistant/ Hospital Assistant  
>in a medical practice. - Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duti 
>es assigned to the position. - Current American Heart Association CPR Certification. PREFERRED QUALI 
>FICATION REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - American Heart Association BLS – CPR Certified POPULATIO 
>NS SERVED Employees who routinely provide direct patient care require a statement concerning Populat 
>ions Served Competencies. Typically, a statement such as “Demonstrated ability to provide appropriat 
>e care based on the needs of a specific individual, including the patient’s age.” is sufficient. Sel
