>icies, and any unique ambulatory patient services this Nurse Practitioner 2 (NP 2) position provides

>n complicated chronic medical problems. This APP position may perform delegated functions as appropr 
>iate to their “scope of practice”.  In general, the “scope of practice” includes the management of c 
>hronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical pro 
>cedures per approved standardized procedures (SPs) as identified by the list available on the Office 
> of Medical Affairs and Governance (OMAG) website. The NP’s primary responsibility will be to provid 
>e clinical care to all appropriate MIGS/Urogyn patients in need of new, routine, urgent, and same da 
>y visits. The NP will provide triage care by phone and through MyChart, and provide direct support t 
>o our triage team. The NP will communicate patient care updates and follow-up through phone and MyCh 
>art. Responsibilities may include coordinating ongoing care for MIGS/Urogyn patients, managing clini 
>cal follow-ups, supporting the care team with In Basket messages and prescription refills. The NP wi 
>ll independently see patients for both new and follow-up visits, and will also provide same-day acce

5Required Qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Judgement skills to ef
>fectively meet the needs of patients - Self-direction and organizational skills to function in an in 
>dependent role - Ability to cope with personal stress experienced by health care providers and team  
>members - Ability to meet minimum standards for hospital credentialing and billing standards as a bi 
>llable provider - Mandatory attendance at the Office of Advanced Practice Providers Orientation Sess 
>ions - This position requires flexibility for the APP to work at all UCSF Health facilities/location 
>s - Performs other duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications - Four years or greater NP experience 
> in inpatient Obstetrics within the past five years, including managing patients independently. - Ab 
>le to interpret Nonstress tests, ultrasound and telemetry. Minimum License/Certification: - Californ 
>ia Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction - California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP)  
>without restriction - California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishi 
>ng privileges - NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the  
>patient population and clinical role Adult Inpatient (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC) or Women’ 
>s Health (WHNP-BC) . See Addendum A below for more detail. - California Driver License (if required  
>for position) - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, a 
>nd 5 registered to a California address - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)  
>certification - Additional required AHA certifications: PALS - Additional required certifications (s 
>uch as ENLS): no additional certifications are required Minimum Education & Experience - Graduation  
>from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master’s 
> degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). - Nurse Practitioner 2 (at least six (6) m 
>onths of NP experience): UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be  
>credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) p 
>rior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes betwe 
>en 60-90 days but can vary.
