>ical locations. Under supervision of the Administrative Nurse, guided by policies and procedures of  
>the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Hospital Assistan 
>t III (Medical Assistant) assists in the delivery of care to patients in multiple Cancer Center ambu 
>latory group practices. This position supports the Cancer Services and Ambulatory Services and Infus 
>ion Unit. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including assuring positiv 
>e care outcomes. They will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the

5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical 
>Center locations. - All candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria: - Certificate o 
>f training or graduation from an accredited MA, Home Health Aide, PCA, CNA, dental or paramedic prog 
>ram or college degree in a related field such as community health, infectious disease, public health 
> or health education and 6 months of relevant experience OR - 2 years of relevant experience as a Me 
>dical Assistant in a hospital or medical practice - Knowledge and abilities essential to the success 
>ful performance of the duties assigned to the position. - Ability to communicate effectively, both d 
>irectly and over the phone. - Able to meet physical requirements. - This position requires flexibili 
>ty to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - Prior experience in a  
>healthcare setting working in an oncology practice - Experience with insurance verification, medical 
> record data abstraction, medical assisting, or patient financial services strongly preferred. - Deg 
>ree from accredited medical assisting school. - Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capability (Spanish, Can 
>tonese, Russian) strongly preferred. - Current State of California Phlebotomy Certification (CPT1) R 
>EQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
