>frontline provider for Hematology, Oncology & BMT patients at Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Fr 
>ancisco and Oakland providing care in 10-12-hour AM & PM shifts. Exceptions will be made to flex to  
>outpatient when the operational need of the department dictates. The Nurse Practitioner will act as  
>an independent member of the team, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient 
> pediatric Hematology, Oncology & BMT patients.  This team member will meet productivity expectation 
>s as set forth by the Division Chief, performing any duties related to patient care activities that  
>are appropriate and clearly delineated. UCSF nurse practitioners (NPs) are advanced practice provide 
>rs (APPs) who possess the education, national board certification, California licensure, knowledge,  
>clinical skills, and experience necessary to provide evidence-based patient care in their area of cl 
>inical practice. They provide routine, acute, critical, and specialty care as defined by their grant 
>ed privileges/standardized procedures. These may include performing non-invasive or invasive procedu 
>res and operative first assist. UCSF NPs are guided by and follow California regulations and the UCS 
>F Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and Policies *. They are authorized to exercise those 
> privileges specifically granted to them by the Committee on Interdisciplinary Practice (CIDP), Exec 
>utive Medical Board (EMB), and Governance Advisory Council (GAC),* and are expected to provide clini

5Required Qualifications: - Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse4 
> Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree in a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitione 
>r specialization - Completion of an accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program - Minimum of thr 
>ee (3) years of recent NP experience, working with Pediatric BMT, Hematology & Oncology patients Lic 
>ensure/Certifications: - California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction - California C 
>ertified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction - California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Numb 
>er including Schedule II furnishing privileges NP national board certification from an accepted cert 
>ifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role - Pediatric Inpatient (CPNP-AC).

> Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a
