5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - At least 1 year working as an ED Tech or EMT. - Prior experience as a PCA 4 
>or PCT in a high-volume department - GED or HS graduate - Current BLS certification - Ability to wor 
>k effectively within a team. - Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job de 
>scription. - Willingness to be taught/learn new skills - Ability to understand and communicate effec 
>tively in English, both orally and in writing. - Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations (a 
>ddition and subtraction). - Ability to organize and effectively set priorities. - Ability to carry o 
>ut duties of first responder in emergency situations. - Basic computer skills. - This position requi 
>res flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION - K 
>nowledge of medical terminology appropriate to the responsibilities of the job is preferred. - 3 yea 
>rs ED tech experience preferred - Phlebotomy license preferred - EMT/paramedic training or nursing s
