>et the printout information once it is obtained; operate a multi-channel radio system under emergenc 
>y as well as non- emergency circumstances, adhering to FCC rules and regulations in the course of it 
>s operation and ability to audibly monitor radio traffic; operate a hand-held two-way radio for comm 
>unications; maintain various logs; process various alarms; and perform other duties as assigned.

5Required Qualifications: - Valid California Driver’s License. - High School diploma or GED equivalen
>t. - Must be able to work shifts on a rotational basis (days, swings, and midnights) and have the ab 
>ility to work on-call assignments and/or overtime and holidays when needed. - Effective written and  
>verbal communications. - Knowledge of Police Dispatching Procedures Including the Operation of state 
>-of-the-art Telephone and Radio Systems within 1 year of appointment - Knowledge of Information Tech 
>nology, Personal Computers and related Software Applications Knowledge of Police Dispatching Procedu 
>res Including the Operation of state-of-the-art Telephone and Radio Systems - Knowledge of Computer  
>Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Systems Knowledge of Information Technology, Personal Computers and 
> related Software Applications. - Ability to pass medical and psychological examinations and an exte 
>nsive background investigation in compliance with California Commission on Peace Officer Standards a 
>nd Training (POST) standards. - Passing Score on POST Entry-level Dispatcher Selection Test Battery, 
> prior to academy.
