t4Qualifications:t3 The Staff Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapist II, reports to the Clinical Supervisor
 >, Occupational Therapy and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The O.T. II work
 >s primarily with adult and geriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, a
 >lthough pediatric and adolescent patients may also be treated. Under general direction and upon rece
 >ipt of written referrals, the Staff Therapist O.T. II plans and administers a full range of occupati
 >onal therapy services for patients with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments and disabili
 >ties. Services include patient evaluations using various physical, cognitive and visual/perceptual t
 >ests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeuti
 >c intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing occupational
 > therapy techniques. The Staff Occupational Therapist maintains all applicable patient records relat
 >ed to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Staff O.T. may also su
 >pervise support personnel including Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Aid
 >es as well as O.T. and O.T.A. students. The Staff O.T. actively participates in departmental and org
 >anizational programs, including performance improvement activities, clinical education programs, and
 > inservices and staff development activities.
5REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of 12 months experience as a licensed therapist. - Ability to comm
>unicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. - Ability to recognize signs of distress 
>. - Possession of or proven eligibility for CPR certification. - Basic computer skills in word proce 
>ssing and on line communication. - Possession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solvin 
>g and self-initiation skills. - This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Me 
>dical Center locations. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Prior occupational therapy experience in an acade 
>mic medical center environment. - Prior experience working on an interdisciplinary health provider t 
>eam. - Possession of a graduate degree or certificate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited pro 
>fessional educational program. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS - Possession of or proven eligibilit 
>y for licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Occupational Therapy Board of California.
