>s. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital – Mount Zion serves as a locatio 
>n for our inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. The UCSF Inpatient P 
>rogram is a 30-bed mental health service caring for adults with urgent behavioral and emotional conc 
>erns who are referred by a mental health care provider. The UCSF Partial Hospitalization Program and 
> Intensive Outpatient Program are intensive, short-term treatment options for patients with moderate 
> to serious behavioral and emotional conditions.

t4Qualifications:t3 DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
5MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 3 years direct patient care experience in a mental health setting, g4 
>roup, and crisis management skills. - A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and 
> possession of the requirements necessary for application for licensure as a clinical social worker  
>as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners; Or an equivalent combination  
>of education and experience; And knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of 
> the duties assigned to the position. - Demonstrated ability to provide transitional, comprehensive  
>mental health services including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, outreach, and case management t 
>o a caseload of severely mentally ill adults who are high risk for psychiatric hospitalization. - De 
>monstrated ability to complete psychosocial/functional assessments, mental status examinations, comp 
>rehensive treatment development, and discharge planning. - Demonstrated ability to assess suicide an 
>d violence risk. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent documentation and c 
>linical skills. - Ability to prioritize; work independently, excellent follow-up, work well under pr 
>essure and deadlines. - Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability. - Demonstrated ability to 
> work harmoniously with colleagues as a member of the treatment team. - A preliminary job offer and  
>assignment may be extended pending successful background clearance. - This position requires flexibi 
>lity to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. PREFERRED: - Experience with populatio 
>ns diverse in ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. - Experience with severely mentally ill. LI
