5UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cas
>es this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working 
> day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can var 
>y. Required Qualifications: Nurse Practitioner 1 (less than six (6) months of experience as an NP):  
>Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with 
> a master’s degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). - One year minimum of previous  
>research related experience (employment, academic, or volunteer), OR one year minimum of experience  
>working with a geriatric and/or cognitively impaired adult population (employment, academic, or volu 
>nteer). - Experience performing neurological exams in a clinical setting. Minimum License/Certificat 
>ion: - California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction - California Certified Nurse Pra 
>ctitioner (NP) without restriction - California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Sched 
>ule II furnishing privileges - NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency al 
>igned with the patient population and clinical role Adult Outpatient (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C,  
>AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC). - California Driver License 
> (if required for position) - Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2 
>N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life  
>Support (BLS) certification - Additional required AHA certifications: None additional to BLS - Addit 
>ional required certifications (such as ENLS): None Preferred Qualifications: - Two years or more of  
>clinical experience in neurology or closely related field within the past five years, including enco 
>unters with patients with neurodegenertive conditions (employment, academic, or volunteer). - Specia 
>lized experience and/or education in neuroanatomy and neuroimaging.
