 >g front-end users, revenue cycle, physicians, nurses, and other users. This position will focus on e
 >ducating and supporting practices with the Health Technology application, including but not limited 
 >to Epic/Apex. Apply skills as a seasoned clinical applications professional to develop, document, tr
 >ain, implement, and support best practice standard work to improve the use of Apex/Epic and third-pa
 >rty systems. Provides excellent customer service to end users, tracks issues, and follows up as appr
 >opriate. Principal Trainer will work at multiple locations, including UCSF Health San Francisco and 
 >Benioff Children’s Hospitals-Oakland and San Francisco, UCSF campus, and community affiliate partner
 >s. 
2REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science,2 
> or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training. - Epic certification complet 
>ed within 12 months of start date - 3 – 5 years of relevant experience - Broad and/or in-depth knowl 
>edge of 1-2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s). Knowledge of systems and func 
>tions, including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, qualit 
>y assurance, and system testing and evaluation. - Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability 
> to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions  
>in a timely manner. - Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, support, a 
>nd work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical 
> levels. - Detail-oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage  
>time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline. - Strong written and ver 
>bal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all l 
>evels of clinical applications users in a specific, clear, and concise manner. - Strong analytical s 
>kills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, an 
>alyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses. - Ability to work with  
>senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issue 
>s of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance. 
3 An essential component of these key responsibilities is the ability to manage multiple competing pr
 >iorities while meeting all program deadlines. As training will be role-based, Principal Trainers mus
 >t have experience with or the capacity to quickly understand clinical, procedural, and administrativ
 >e workflows and related policies/procedures.

5 Principal Trainers must achieve certification within twelve months of hire and support a variety of
 > APeX/Epic applications, as well as integrated Health IT technologies.

 >pex/Epic), which supports the clinical, revenue cycle, and clinical operational functions of the hea
 >lth system and its affiliates, and approximately ninety-five other software applications involved in
 > patient care and operations.
